CROSSING THE ARCTIC, A NorseTroll Story is the first book in the Nordic Troll Tales series. Fy is a Norse Fjell Trollet, a mountain troll. Ridiculed because of his lack of cleanliness, Fy decides to follow in his father's footsteps and make his way from Norway to the New World in order to start a new life for himself. Receded fjord waters impacted by glacial movement and ice jams in the Arctic allow Fy to take advantage of his huge height and walk across. Two Nisse, small Norse troll people, accompany him. Fy and Aina A New World Love Story
FY and AINA, A New World Love Story, is a sequel to the first book in the Nordic Troll Tales entitled CROSSING THE ARCTIC, A Norse Troll Story. In that book, Fy, A Norse Fjell Trollet or mountain troll, does cross the Arctic Ocean on foot from the Nordic World to Greenland and the New World in the days when there was more glacial ice. This second book begins with Fy from his mountain cave close to the ocean hearing plaintive cries for help. The story finds Fy struggling with loneliness, performing a water rescue, searching for a soul mate, and grappling with the hardships of living in an untamed New World. It is a look at what can happen if people of two opposite culture like the Fjeld trolls and the Nisse, who are small dwarf-like trolls, have compassion for the other's lifestyle. FY and AINA is a Norse fiction troll story, interspersing factual Nordic and North American geology with a mythological explanation of how the New World became populated with a diversity of people.
